Donations may be made in five ways:
- Check the red box on your Laclede Gas bill and have a $1, $2, or $5 contribution automatically added to each month's bills
- Use the Automatic Giving Option, in which regular contributions of any amount you specify are included on your Laclede Gas bill
- Simple overpayment of exactly $1, $2, or $5 on your gas bill
- A bequest in your Last Will and Testament
- A direct-mail contribution to the Dollar-Help fund at Cass Bank. Send your donation to:

Dollar-Help grants are awarded on an as-needed basis by local social-service agencies when all public funds for energy assistance have been exhausted. Grants can range as high as $700 per household under certain circumstances. In FY 2006, more than 2,200 payments were made on behalf of low-income families and older adults. The grant size per household averaged approximately $319. Grants are limited to one per household per fiscal year (July 1 to June 30). - refers callers to agencies that provide utility assistance
- counsels callers on how to stay safe and well in cold weather
